When you laugh, sneeze, cough or exercise, do you sometimes leak a small amount of urine?

Are you ever “caught short” by a sudden, strong urge to pass urine?

Do you arrange your daily routine around where the nearest toilets will be?

Do you wake frequently during the night to go to the toilet?

Womens Health Specialists

At Keilor Rd Physiotherapy we provide expert, non-invasive pelvic floor physiotherapy for continence and pelvic floor dysfunction. Utilising Real Time Ultrasound (RTU), we can retrain your pelvic floor without needing to perform an internal investigation.

RTU is a state-of-the-art diagnostic ultrasound machine, used in the imaging and visualisation of the deep stabilising muscular system around the spine, pelvis and hip joints. The RTU is a brilliant, safe, non-invasive tool used both in the assessment and treatment of many conditions including pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor weakness and associated urinary incontinence.

Because the pelvic floor muscles are deep stabilising muscles, it can often be difficult to feel whether or not they are contracting properly. The RTU allows accurate assessment of the correct timing of these muscles that can then be retrained and taken into more functional movements and exercise programs, such as Pilates, gym, running and also home based exercise programs.

Keilor Road Physiotherapy’s expert Women’s Health physiotherapists can use RTU to help with the following conditions:

Urinary incontinence

Loss of bladder control
