Jenny Hynes FACP

Clinical Director

Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Jenny sat extensive examinations to be inducted as a fellow into the Australian College of Physiotherapy in 2009 and gain the title of Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, one of only a few physiotherapists in the state to have done so.

Jenny has over 20 years of experience in the treatment of the musculoskeletal conditions, holding a Masters degree in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and post graduate training in Osteopathy. She is a lecturer at Melbourne University and has specialized expertise in the management of low back, pelvic girdle and hip pain. Jenny is involved in running numerous post graduate courses both for the physiotherapy and osteopathic professions, is the physiotherapy Medical Panel consultant for Worksafe Victoria and consults for a variety of elite sporting teams and individual athletes.


John Keller

Clinical Director

Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

John graduated as a Physiotherapist from the Auckland University of Technology with the John Morris memorial prize for outstanding clinical practise in 2003. John has since completed Post Graduate Diplomas in both Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy with distinction, also collecting the Searle Shield for excellence in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. John’s specific area of interest lies in the management of sports injuries and musculoskeletal injury management. John employs a hands–on, holistic approach and has a vast amount of clinical experience dealing with recreational and elite athletes as well as the treatment of adolescents and older individuals.


Robbie Webb

Sports Physiotherapist

Expert Management in:

  • GLA:D Program

Robbie graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2004 and completed his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy via La Trobe University in 2012. He has extensive private practise experience and was head Physiotherapist at the Hamilton Football and Netball Club for six years.

Robbie enjoys treating sporting and musculoskeletal conditions and has a special interest in tendon injuries, knee injuries and spinal pain. He is an APPI qualified pilates instructor and is able to assist with desk ergonomics and running technique. He likes to combine a hands-on approach with progressive exercises to achieve a return to full function.


Simone Muscat

Sports & Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Simone’s keen interest in the biomechanics of the body and sporting injuries, especially those of the shoulder and knee, has led her to pursue a career as a Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Simone graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in 2012, and has spent the past five years working in private practice before joining the team at Keilor Road Physio mid 2017. Further to completing her bachelor degree, Simone has completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy and is in the midst of completing her Masters of Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at La Trobe University. She currently holds a position with the Carlton Football Club’s AFLW side.

Her expertise has led to multiple appointments within the sporting community including the Australian and Victorian Men’s Masters / U21’s Hockey Teams, Footscray Hockey Club, TAC Cup Western Jets, and WRFL Altona Vikings. Over the past two years Simone has been Physiotherapist for numerous State and National hockey teams, contributing to the success of winning multiple National Championships, a Trans-Tasman Cup and most recently World Cup. Simone’s unique skill-set allows for accurate patient diagnosis and rehabilitation back to all levels of performance, with her passion for improving patient treatment outcomes, performance and quality of life being second to none.


Tanya Paunovic


Expert Management in:

  • Sports injury diagnosis and management, specifically knee and muscle injuries

  • Back/Neck pain

Tanya graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice. Since then, Tanya has worked in Private Practice, and currently holds a position with the Geelong Football Club as the head Physio for their AFLW side. Tanya has previously worked with the Essendon Football Club VFLW, Calder Cannons, U17 Vic Metro squad, Brisbane Lions 2018 AFLW match-day coverage, the AFL National Academy and AFL National Multicultural/Indigenous talent camps. As a result, Tanya has developed a keen interest working with individuals to manage their injuries and return to normal function. This includes development of specific load management plans to facilitate a return to performance, whilst managing the risk of re-injury in athletes.

Tanya’s strength lies in her ability to be able to apply these same principles to anyone whose goal is a return to full function. Through a combination of manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise, she is able to address the underlying cause of a patient’s condition and ultimately lay a platform to prevent recurrent issues in the future. Tanya has also recently returned to part time study to complete her Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy, which means her approach is backed up by the latest advances and evidence in physiotherapy.


Elise Whitby


Expert Management in:

  • Sports injury management, specifically shoulder and back injuries

  • Dry needling

Elise completed her Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University. She has worked in the private practice setting throughout her physiotherapy career and currently holds a position with Essendon Football Club AFLW as the rehabilitation coordinator. This sees her take athletes through the entire rehab process, from acute injury to return to play with optimal function.

Previously, Elise has worked extensively with amateur football teams in both VAFA and EDFL due to her passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy. On top of treating sports and spinal injuries, she has a keen interest in Clinical Pilates and Women’s Health. She also utilises dry needling in her practice as an effective treatment method when required.

Elise believes not only in relieving pain and symptoms, but in optimising function and preventing recurrence of injuries. She believes in tailored sessions to suit the client and best assist them in reaching their personally identified goals.

Outside of the practice, you’ll find Elise on the netball court or at the beach given any opportunity.

Scott Sanders


Expert Management in:

  • Sports injury management - specifically ankle and hip

  • Dry Needling

Scott graduated from a Science Degree before following his passion to become a Physiotherapist at The University of Melbourne, graduating in 2011. Scott has worked in private practice since as well as working with multiple sports team including AFL, cricket, basketball and hockey.

In line with the KRP philosophy, Scott believes in not just treating the symptoms but finding the cause of an injury to treat the underlying problem, thus giving the best possible chance at a full recovery. He uses hands on techniques, including the release of trigger points and dry needling, to achieve optimal outcomes to assist his patients.

Outside of the clinic you'll find Scott on his bike, riding uphill anywhere he can find, or with his young family. During the summer months he'll also be on the cricket field playing for Brunswick Cricket Club, having moved there following 97 Premier First XI games for Melbourne University Cricket Club.


Rhys Veen

Rhys joins the the KRP team all the way from Perth, as our latest full-time addition. He completed his Bachelor of Exercise Sports & Rehabilitation Science in 2016 & went on to complete his Masters of Physiotherapy earlier this year at Curtin University. Complimenting our team here at KRP, Rhys joins 3 of our other Physiotherapists with experience at AFLW level, having worked as the Rehab Co-Ordinator for the Fremantle Dockers AFLW side for the past 2 seasons. A role that will continue for the visiting women's & men's AFL sides here in Melbourne.

Having worked as a fitness trainer while studying, Rhys has worked with a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries and in combination with his excellent manual therapy skills, Rhys likes to provide rehabilitative exercises to treat the primary cause of pain and dysfunction. He aims to instil confidence and knowledge in his clients so that they can best manage their injury long-term and prevent future reoccurrence.

Outside of the clinic, you'll find Rhys on his surf or snow board or in the gym, practicing what he preaches.


Administration Team

Our lovely administration staff are a vital part of the Keilor Road Physiotherapy team. We rely on them to be the friendly face (or voice) that greets you when you come into the clinic and to keep things organised and running smoothly for our patients.



Something people don’t know about me is…

That I love boogie boarding.

If you could have a super power what would it be and why?

The power to heal sick children and the power to turn water into wine.
